This is a difficult time to be a human, living in a current culture where the right to safely exist and flourish is being threatened daily. Here you are, navigating all of that and living your own complex life. Unhealthy or complicated relationships. Experiences of trauma. Life transitions. Parenting in a time of chaos. The trip that is middle age.
Our coping strategies that may have worked in the past may no longer feel like they are working during this time. We may feel like we are losing contact with ourselves and others, feeling disconnected from experiencing connection or joy.
The most challenging work of being in therapy is often the work that you will do outside of our time together, as this often requires a new way of moving through your world. You might have to examine some old patterns of surviving, shift relationships, set boundaries for yourself, prioritize your well-being. That rich work requires a lot of support.
My therapeutic lens integrates somatic interventions, mindfulness, and EMDR and is informed through a justice framework, allowing for exploration of the impact of oppression on individual identities and lived experiences. Let’s co-create a space that centers your inner wisdom and cultural and spiritual traditions, and builds on your natural resilience.
