I know firsthand the courage it takes to reach out for help. For many of us, we don't reach out until it feels like there are no other options and taking that leap can feel intimidating and scary. With that in mind, I take a patient, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach that relies on collaboration between us. I’m here as a support and guide to help you make your own meaning out of life’s challenges through reflection, intentionality, mindfulness, self-compassion, skill building, and self-awareness.
Factors that I consider in our work together include various systems you are a part of, trauma dynamics, relationships, spirituality, cultural background, values, and health. We are all unique individuals, and I find it important to view everyone as such. I also take an integrative approach and may utilize somatic (body-based), mindfulness, parts work/IFS (Internal Family Systems), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) type interventions. I believe we all have an inner strength, resilience, and desire to grow, and I will help to support you in discovering and utilizing that during our work together.
I am a Certified Trauma Professional (CCTP) and have extensive experience working with those who have PTSD and C-PTSD (Complex-PTSD). In addition, I work closely with those who have ADHD and am in the process of becoming an ADHD Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP).
