Hello, Thanks for taking the time to consider working with me. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am an experienced clinician with close to 30 years of Licensed work under my belt. I have worked in many different settings, however, I prefer working with folks on an outpatient basis most. Over the years my knowledge base has grown considerably but I feel most comfortable working in these areas; Relationship Issues to include infidelity, Disordered Eating, Alcohol or Substance Use Disorders, Depression, Anxiety and Complex PTSD.
I grew up on the East Coast but have lived in Colorado since 2018. Like all of us, we are products of our culture and my style is direct, straightforward and always authentic. I often say to clients "If your own therapist can't be straight with you, then who can?" That being said, I am gentle and compassionate when I need to be and I know how difficult it is to open up to someone especially with information you may have never told anyone before. I believe we all have the ability to transform our pain given the right help and the right circumstances.
My approach/modality is informed by different schools of thought, but I lean towards attachment, trauma and recovery based ideologies. I recently became a PACT Level 1 Therapist which enables me to work with couples and assist partners in developing a stronger, more secure bond than they may have experienced before. I believe our primary attachments can provide the most opportunity for growth if we allow them to.
Thankyou for taking the time to consider my bio and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about how to start your therapeutic journey.
