Discovering unknown aspects of ourselves can feel risky. I respect your healing process and the courage it takes to engage in therapeutic work.
I believe we hold trauma in both our body and our unconscious. Trauma can often lead us to doing, saying, and feeling things that seem inexplicable. Exploration and integration of traumatic material can lead to deeper, long-term healing and growth.
Before training to be a therapist, I spent 30 years as a performer and dance instructor. Dance has been an integral part of own self work, demanding that I explore my own identity and complexes. Dance instruction has given me a depth of knowledge in somatic work, interpersonal relationships, and the soul’s journey. Dancing also led me to many cross-cultural experiences, including living in South America and teaching in Europe, Asia, and Australia.
I am a Somatically oriented Depth therapist. I received my master’s in counseling from Regis University. I am trained in Level II Brainspotting. For couples I utilize Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT).
It would be my honor to join you in your healing journey.
