Mental health, just like physical health needs to be maintained. Some people suffer from organic mental illnesses, which are similar to organic physical illnesses. One can have bipolar disorder just as one can have diabetes and both can be successfully treated and managed, to allow the individual to live a normal and healthy lifestyle. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in Bipolar Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Adjustment Disorders, grief and loss issues. Chronic illness and family therapy are also some of my practice areas. I offer sessions in-person in Denver, and virtually across Colorado.
I have a good foundation of cross-cultural knowledge, but as all humans, I might need to ask questions to learn more about you and your specific cultural needs. I have experience with working with a variety of religious and sexual orientations. Please reach out for a telephone consult so I can answer specific questions about these subjects to determine if I can meet your needs for care. I am willing to see people under 18 in a family therapy setting only, but the primary client must be 24 years or older.
