When we make the choice to come to therapy, it is a choice to start to work with our own experiences, past and present, so that we can move forward and create a compassionate home within ourselves where we can heal, grow, and live a life aligned with our highest values. My therapeutic style includes patience, respect, client-driven care, and interventions that are tailored to the needs of the Client and presentation of the moment.
I graduated from Villanova University in 2000 with a Bachelors Degree in Secondary English Education, and spent my early career as a middle school teacher. I became a yoga teacher in 2008 and am credentialed at the E-RYT 500, YACEP level. I completed my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (concentration in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Psychology) at Naropa University in December of 2023, and am currently Credentialed at the LAC (Licensed Addiction Counselor) and LPCC level (Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate) levels. I have Clinical experience working in Addiction and Recovery outpatient treatment in individual and group settings. I also have experience working with individuals experiencing mental health struggles such as anxiety, depression, trauma work, and building/re-building life skills.
I offer accessible and client driven therapy for adults struggling with anxiety, life transition issues (midlife, grief, empty nest, etc), addiction/recovery maintenance, stress, self esteem issues, working with trauma, and LGBTQIA2S+ affirming counseling. Counseling interventions that you may experience in my care include but are not limited to: Holistic approaches,Yoga Nidra, Mindfulness Based/Nervous System Regulation Techniques, Gestalt, DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) inspired interventions, and Person-Centered Therapy.
