I am a licensed clinical social worker with 15 years of experience providing mental health support and therapy specializing in life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Using a strength-based approach to therapy, I believe that clients know themselves best and are extremely resilient! I truly value diversity and attempt to provide a warm, accepting environment for all, including: all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, socio-economic backgrounds, ages, religions, body shapes, sizes and abilities. I aim to be a present and supportive guide throughout the therapy process, using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and other therapy modalities to work through past and current experiences. While using these interventions, I take into account all needs - mental, emotional, and physical - aiming to provide a safe place for change and healing to occur.
Like many of us, I moved to Colorado from the Midwest about 12 years ago. (Fair warning: you will likely notice my accent, although greatly subdued, it is still definitely present at times!) I enjoy staying active, being in nature, traveling, attending concerts, and trying delicious new restaurants. When I am not working, I can be found with my family and dog, Aspen. I tend to bring humor into sessions, as I believe laughter can be great medicine! I use she/her pronouns.
As mentioned, I offer various therapeutic modalities tailored to each individual's needs, including: EMDR, EFT, DBT, CBT, Brainspotting, and Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction. I look forward to potentially working with you to build a sense of connection, peace, and enjoyment in life! Please reach out for a free 15-minute consultation call to see if we are a good match!
