Jenna Ross is an independent contractor for Forward Family Therapy and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her MSW from the University of Missouri in 2017 and received her license in 2019 and began working with adolescents and adults in a community mental health setting.
Jenna received her certificate for EMDR therapy from the EMDR Center of the Rockies in 2020 and has extensive expertise in working with trauma survivors and learning to help individuals re-define and take back control of their narrative. Jenna would like to help individuals find healing through their experiences and finds EMDR one of the most useful tools to achieve those goals.
In addition Jenna uses practices rooted in CBT, DBT and mindfulness. Jenna focuses on meeting people where they are at using a person-centered, trauma-focused approach and providing a listening ear without judgement and understanding. Jenna’s expertise includes adolescents and young adults, trauma survivors, LGBTQI+ and addiction. Jenna’s main goal is to provide a safe and comfortable space for individuals seeking out guidance and support.
Jenna's counseling style includes creating a space for people that feels comfortable, inviting and warm, using humor and creativity. Jenna will work to empower individuals to find meaning, healing and strength.
In her spare time Jenna enjoys spending time with her family, taking walks and reading. A few of her favorite books include Go As A River, The People We Keep and Remarkably Bright Creatures.
