Trauma can be really tricky to identify, most of us have fairly extensive trauma histories and don't even realize it! Trauma can look like a lot of things: if your parents ever made you feel unsafe, or like your feelings didn't matter... if a partner or friend, someone your cared about left out of nowhere... if you find yourself wondering "what's wrong with me?" or "Can I even trust myself?" you might need some support!
I can help you 1) identify your trauma, 2) work to better understand its impact, and 3) challenge and change core beliefs that you developed along your journey.
If any of these thoughts resonate with you, I can help!
There is something wrong with me.
I am not good enough.
I can't trust anyone.
I can't trust myself.
People are always going to leave.
I am going to be rejected.
There are certainly more beliefs on that list, but those are some fairly common trauma beliefs. Those beliefs can cause us to self-sabotage, keep others at a distance, shut down, and many things that get in the way of achieving your goals and being able to really experience your life fully.
I identify as a white, cis-gender, Christian, cat-loving, Crossfitting, plant-collecting female. I work hard to ensure that the space that I hold for folks is neutral and safe (I won't talk about religion or Crossfit, but I might chat about my cat!) You will not be judged, talked at, spoken down to, lectured... I will not pressure you to make decisions or changes. I am here to hold a healing space for you to be able to let your guard down and hear that you are not broken, you are not unloveable, and there is nothing wrong with you.
It doesn't matter where you've been, where you are, or where you hope to go... It doesn't matter how you identify, how you present, how you show up... I am here to make you feel safe, seen, heard, and secure.
