Hi there, I am Lori-Ann and am excited to meet you. I have been both a behavioral health researcher and practicing clinician for more than 20 years specializing in work with healthcare professionals, prior military and their caregivers and families who are experiencing increased stress, life transitions, anxiety and/or symptoms of trauma. As a neurodiverse healthcare provider with prior military service, I find myself uniquely positioned to understand the issues and residual emotional impacts of such high stress and high value careers on both clients and their families. I am trained in CBT, EMDR, mindfulness and PE therapies.
I conduct sessions within a framework of identifying shadow parts and existential fears. My work with clients helps you to understand the parts of yourself you have been hiding from or rejecting and learn what your own authenticity in a world where we are constantly bombarded with messages about who we are “supposed to be,” means to you.
It is a difficult journey to remain true to your core values when feeling emotionally worn out or pulled in numerous directions, focused on other value systems within our jobs, communities and the institutions we are a part of. I would love to help you show up for yourself, meet your own needs and fill your own cup.
