Osiyo! (Hello) I am a tribal member of the Cherokee and Shawnee tribes of Oklahoma. I work with ethno-indigenous theories in psychotherapy along with traditional psychotherapy modalities.
My educational background begins at San Francisco Art Institute and continues to California Institute of Integral Studies. I received a master’s in counseling psychology with a concentration in somatic psychotherapy. I am a trauma-informed Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over a decade of experience working with relational and family dynamics. Prior to opening a private practice, I have worked in clinical settings including working with at-risk youth, at-risk populations, and residential treatment homes.
As a somatic therapist, EMDR practitioner, and breathwork facilitator we will utilize many somatic tools and EMDR tools to help you reach your goals. Working with the nervous system through polyvagal theory and somatic exercises can help alleviate trauma. This might include breathing techniques, grounding, centering, sensory awareness, creative visualization, and present awareness.
