I use a strengths based, trauma-informed, psychodynamic approach rooted in a safe, secure therapeutic relationship to help clients become conscious of the patterns and cycles that are impacting their lives. I am committed to exploring the fit of each therapeutic relationship and approach as it connects to clients' process and goals, developing a collaborative relationship and trusting clients as the expert of their experience.
Through experience working with complex PTSD, I have developed a trauma-informed lens. If clients need help understanding their reactions to certain situations, relationships, or triggers, we can explore together and develop insight and coping tools. I am also trained in EMDR, a therapeutic method clinically proven to help individuals heal from emotional pain from traumatic experiences.
