Welcome!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. I have worked in the mental health field for 18 years and have been providing therapy to adolescents, young adults, and adults since 2014. My areas of specialty include trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment, neurodivergence, grief and loss, and relationships. Clients often describe me as intuitive, curious, accepting, and open.
My Approach
I focus on fostering personal growth through self-awareness and emotional regulation. My work is informed by neuroscience and an understanding of the nervous system. I use approaches such as Parts Work (Internal Family Systems), Polyvagal Theory, somatic practices, mindfulness, and attachment-focused interventions to help individuals access how past experiences are stored in the body and mind and to create new pathways for regulation and behavioral patterns. I also draw from evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and components of EMDR as part of this integrative approach.
Working with Parents and Children
I am a Certified Synergetic Play Therapist and work with children and adolescents. In these cases, I focus on creating a safe space for the child to express themselves through play and other expressive therapies, while helping parents explore their own experiences and how these influence parenting and family dynamics. Parent sessions emphasize understanding the parent's experiences, helping parents to understand the child’s experiences, connecting these insights to daily life, and aligning this work with broader treatment goals.
Together, We Will
In our sessions, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to understand your unique experiences. Together, we will identify areas of your life where you need support, set meaningful therapeutic goals, and work toward greater emotional regulation, relief, and fulfillment.
