I believe we are all born with everything we need to thrive, then life slaps us in the face in an abundance of ways from a variety of directions and we adjust our beliefs and behaviors in order to simply survive. If you are here looking for a therapist, it is likely you are not satisfied with how you have adjusted to life’s various assaults. My approach to therapy is more direct, utilizes humor, and is founded in cognitive behavioral theory with a person centered, strengths based perspective. I enjoy working with clients who are motivated for something different and willing to do the hard work to get it.

I have been working in behavioral health for over 20 years across a variety of settings including residential treatment facilities, crisis centers, college counseling centers, psychiatric hospitals and emergency departments. I specialize in treating anxiety, mood disorders, grief, and trauma.

I enjoy creating a safe place for my clients to explore life's challenges and difficult feelings in order to move forward. Together, we can explore what brought you to where you are, what resources you have to get where you want to be, and what obstacles are blocking your path. I hope you reach out.
