I believe every behavior, reaction, and emotional response has a story behind it. I work with children, teens, and adults of all ages. I welcome clients of any gender or identity. I am LGBTQ-affirming, and I love supporting individuals who are exploring or questioning their gender, identity, or sense of self.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years as an educator, which gives me a unique understanding of the stress and emotional load that comes with working in schools. I care deeply about supporting educators, school staff, and students who may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or worn out. I also love working with children who’ve been labeled as having “behavior issues” or “emotional outbursts” and helping parents, caregivers, and teachers understand the “why” behind those behaviors.

My work is not limited to those in educational settings. I work with people from many different backgrounds and walks of life. If anxiety is getting in the way of you living fully, you are in the right place. I offer a space where you can talk openly about your experiences, and where we can bring both care and lightness into the work. We will likely laugh together as you learn about your nervous system and discover ways to find more calm, clarity, and steadiness in your life.

I enjoy working with clients who are straightforward, while having a sense of humor, and are open to reflecting on themselves. I love helping people make connections between what happened to them in the past and how they respond today. I live for those moments when someone says, “Oh… that’s why I did that.” In those moments, we start to see that there’s nothing wrong with them- it’s their nervous system doing what it learned to do in order to keep them safe.

I use approaches like Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and nervous system regulation to help you better understand what’s happening inside your body, why you react the way you do, and how to shift those patterns. Together, we’ll work on recognizing when your nervous system is activated, finding tools to regulate it, and creating new responses that feel safer, calmer, and more aligned with who you want to be.
