Hello, I'm Rebecca! Born and raised in Ohio, I graduated from The Ohio State University in 1995 and moved to Colorado in June 2004. Here, I am blessed to raise my two daughters, who are proud Colorado natives. My passion for psychology and mental health began with my first introduction to psychology course in college, and it has only grown stronger over the years.
With a career spanning over 35 hospitals throughout the Denver metro area, I bring a wealth of experience to my practice. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Addiction Specialist, dedicated to helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys. My approach is rooted in the Biopsychosocial model, which considers the intricate connections between biology, psychology, and socio-environmental factors. This holistic view allows me to address clients' needs comprehensively, ensuring that all aspects of their well-being are considered.
I specialize in working with adults, and seniors, focusing on areas such as family relationships, anger management, anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, life transitions, medical issues and physical health, military and veteran support, stress, addiction, and trauma. Whether you are dealing with a specific issue or seeking general support, I am here to help you feel a sense of control over your life and empower you to make healthy choices.
In our sessions, you can expect a supportive and empathetic environment where your voice is heard, and your experiences are validated. I believe in the importance of clients feeling empowered and in control of their situations, which is why I am committed to working with those who are dedicated to weekly therapy. Together, we will work towards your goals and help you achieve a healthier, more fulfilling life.
When I'm not working, I love spending quality time with my daughters and staying active at the gym. These moments of joy and self-care are essential to my well-being, and I encourage my clients to find their own sources of happiness and balance.
If you are ready to take the next step in your mental health journey, I am here to support you every step of the way. Let's work together to create positive change in your life.
I have been in the mental health field since 2004. I received my license in 2010.
