Struggling to feel empowered by where you've been, where you are, and where you're going? Seeking therapy can feel intimidating, but it’s one of the most powerful steps you can take toward healing and self-discovery. Many of us were taught to suppress our struggles, to “tough it out,” or feel shame about needing help. The truth is, asking for support is a sign of strength, not weakness. My role is to guide you in adapting to yourself —your thoughts, feelings, and the connection between your brain and body—so you can embrace your authentic self. Therapy isn't about fixing you; it's helping you reconnect with yourself.
Whether you’re dealing with neurodiversity, life transitions, grief, identity distress, or trying to find balance, I’m here to support you to find a path forward that fits you. I work with individuals ages 12 and up, offering telehealth sessions to make therapy accessible and flexible. I am licensed and paneled with some insurances within Colorado (as well as taking self-pay) and also provide services to those within PSYPACT participating states on a self-pay basis (with the option of utilizing out-of-network benefits through insurance). I have worked within the field of psychology since 2003, but this was a calling from a young age, earing me the nickname "Shrink Shawna" by age 7. I am passionate about what I do and honored to be able to offer support to those seeking clarity, compassion, and acceptance of self. When navigating the therapeutic journey, we will explore full mind and body health to promote growth and flexibility.
No matter where you are in life, you are normal. Your experiences, challenges, and strengths are a part of what makes you, you. Taking this step shows you deserve more and I would be honored to walk with you on this journey. Let's talk about how we work together to help you feel more connected to yourself.
