Hello! I'm Kaycee Tormoen, a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Lone Tree, Colorado, serving clients throughout the south Denver metro area. With over a decade of experience in the counseling field, I specialize in working with teens, young adults, mothers, and educators who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, burnout, and the emotional weight of everyday life. My approach is grounded in authenticity, empathy, and genuine collaboration. I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen and understood, not just assessed and advised.
One thing that makes my practice a little different is Griz, my gentle black lab who joins many of my sessions. His calm, intuitive presence has a remarkable way of helping clients feel more at ease, especially during difficult conversations. Whether he's quietly resting nearby or offering a well-timed nudge, Griz brings a unique warmth to the therapeutic space that words sometimes can't.
I'm trained in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and Family Systems Therapy, and I tailor my work to meet each client where they are. I welcome all identities and backgrounds and am committed to creating a space where you feel respected, empowered, and supported as you grow.
