Maybe anxiety, depression, or past trauma has been weighing on you. Perhaps life's uncertainty or disappointment has you feeling stuck—despite your efforts to push through, the same patterns keep resurfacing. Together, we can understand what’s getting in your way and work towards greater balance, insight, and agency.
My training spans both Western clinical traditions as well as non-eurocentric approaches to learning and psychology giving me a uniquely diverse foundation for this work. I hold an MSW that began a relational and psychodynamic foundation for clinical work and a PhD in East-West psychology that taught me to think critically about the intersection between psychology, spirituality, and philosophy. I have extensive training and experience helping people with complex trauma. I am trained in EMDR as well as Compassionate Inquiry (CI). CI is a short-term, trauma-informed method that focuses on the mind-body connection to help people understand their past experiences, release stories, and heal from trauma.
My approach is integrative—I draw from psychodynamic, somatic, and behavioral frameworks to foster meaningful, lasting growth. I also offer practical skill-building and coaching for stress management and academic performance along with tools to strengthen relationships and communication. My therapeutic style is non-judgmental and warm — I meet you where you are, without agenda.
I worked for six years at a medical clinic in San Francisco that specializes in gender-affirming care so have enjoyed working for many years in private practice with those in various stages of their journey. In Oakland and SFO, I also have worked with culturally diverse populations in school, hospital, and foster care. I specialize in helping with anxiety, trauma, ADHD/neurodivergence, depression, disability and LGBTQIA+ issues. I am affirming of consensual non-monogamy and kink practices.
