Welcome to Growth Peak Counseling! If you are here, you might be wondering if there is another, more gratifying way to live your life. Perhaps you want to take steps toward reconnecting with your loved ones and with yourself. Maybe you are seeking more direction to your life’s purpose. I can help.

My name is Dr. Anna Jetton. I'm a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in working with adults who are living with anxiety and symptoms of trauma. I am a strong proponent of the mind-body connection and believe taking care of our physical health is just as important as taking care of our mental health. In fact, they are inseparable. To this end, I typically focus on the whole person, not just the mind. In therapy, I utilize a mindfulness-based approach to change, while focusing on my clients' personal strengths to promote growth and healing. I understand and respect that every client has unique needs. I do not take a “one size fits all” approach to my work with clients because every person is different. Instead, I consider and value the wholeness of a person when determining which therapeutic approach will be most effective.

As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II), I bring keen awareness to the healing power of the mind-body connection and incorporate this perspective specifically in my work with those who have experienced trauma. I am passionate about trauma-based therapy, particularly EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which I've found to be incredibly effective in helping individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences.

I am also a dynamic therapist, meaning I don’t just listen. I talk. I ask questions. I challenge. All of this is in service of helping you make the changes you want so you can move in your chosen, valued direction. To this end, I often assign “homework” to help you practice the change you want to make for yourself and get you where you want to be in life. I adopt an integrative approach to treatment drawing from a variety of therapeutic approaches to customize your experience in therapy and ensure you get the best care.

Overall, my work is grounded in evidence-based practices of Western psychology, while being heavily influenced by practices that are more characteristic of Eastern philosophies. Interventions involving mindfulness, acceptance, self-compassion, body work, nutritional psychology, and spiritual awareness can all be quite validating, liberating, and therapeutic because they address the whole person, not just the mind.

I have been a practicing psychologist for over 15 years, and in that time I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings. Each experience not only helped me develop my expertise and skill set, but more importantly, I realized how much I love helping people achieve their desired personal growth. No matter where you are on your path, I am here to walk beside you. I am committed to helping you find a path in life that will resonate with you, your goals, and your values in a safe, supportive space to allow for healing, growth, and transformation. I invite you to reach out and take your next step toward reaching your growth peak.
