Trauma and grief often live beneath words. Whether you are navigating the impact of a single traumatic event, long-term relational or developmental (childhood) trauma, the loss of a loved one, identity, relationship, or sense of safety, these experiences can leave the nervous system in patterns of hypervigilance, collapse, numbness, or overwhelm. Many people have tried to “talk their way through” these experiences, only to feel stuck or disconnected.
In our work together, therapy is a collaborative process. My approach is trauma and grief-informed, holistic, and somatic-based. I have been a therapist for over 22 years and bring an abundance of knowledge, attunement, and curiosity to the process. We focus not only on understanding your story, but on listening to what your body and nervous system are communicating in the present moment. Many people come to therapy feeling stuck- emotionally, relationally, or physically- despite years of insight and effort. Often, this is because healing requires more than cognitive understanding; it requires regulation, safety, and attunement at the nervous system level. Clients often come to me for support after already trying more traditional talk therapy and noticing that they need something more holistic, energetic, insight and body-based.
