I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of mental health settings, supporting individuals with a wide range of concerns, identities, and life experiences. One of the most meaningful parts of this work has been connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and learning from the unique perspectives they bring into the therapeutic space. Through these experiences, I’ve found that many people are looking for a nonjudgmental environment where their emotions and experiences can be normalized, understood, and explored. Some are hoping to regain a sense of control and stability in their lives, while others are ready to process deeper interpersonal patterns, trauma experiences, and related triggers. I enjoy working across this spectrum and with the many challenges that exist in between.

In the first few sessions, I focus on gathering background information, building a strong therapeutic relationship, and collaboratively identifying goals for therapy. Because every person comes to counseling with different needs, preferences, and hopes, I believe it is important to create space for those to be openly discussed and revisited throughout the process. I view therapy as a collaborative experience, and I regularly check in about progress, invite feedback, and adjust our approach as needed to best support each individual’s growth.

I particularly enjoy working with concerns related to divorce, life transitions, trauma, phobias, boundaries, communication difficulties, self-harm urges, and emotional regulation. My approach integrates coping skills, psychoeducation, EMDR, CBT, DBT-informed strategies, and other evidence-based interventions tailored to each person’s needs. When working with individuals navigating major life changes or divorce, I focus on helping them rebuild a sense of identity, establish new routines, and regain balance and stability. For those experiencing suicidal ideation or self-harm urges, I emphasize emotional validation alongside practical coping strategies and skills development. When addressing trauma, phobias, and related triggers, I often incorporate EMDR to support healing and reduce distress.

At the core of my work is a compassionate, collaborative approach that encourages individuals to take an active role in their growth while feeling supported throughout the process. I aim to help people identify patterns, strengthen coping skills, build resilience, and develop greater self-awareness so they can move toward a life that feels more aligned with their values and goals.

I also value continual learning and professional growth as a therapist. Reading, continuing education trainings, and consultation with other clinicians are important ways I continue expanding my knowledge and strengthening my practice. I believe providing effective care means remaining engaged in ongoing learning and self-improvement—something I also encourage in the individuals I support.

I understand that taking the first step toward therapy and finding a counselor who feels like the right fit can feel overwhelming. When you feel ready, you are welcome to reach out by phone or email to schedule a brief consultation where we can discuss your concerns, identify your needs, and explore whether working together feels like a good fit. I am currently licensed to practice in Colorado.
