Helping people discover meaning and purpose in their lives gives my own life a profound sense of fulfillment. My path to becoming a therapist began long before graduate school—as a Marine veteran and later as a professor and trauma researcher, I saw firsthand how resilience, identity, and human connection can shape the course of a life.
Today, I bring that experience into my work as a therapist serving Denver and clients across Colorado through telehealth. My approach is culturally grounded, military- and LGBTQ+-affirming, and trauma-informed—rooted in compassion, collaboration, and respect for each person’s story.
I work with adults navigating many of life’s challenges, including PTSD, anxiety, OCD, depression, panic disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, grief, anger, ADHD, burnout, insomnia, and men’s issues. I also support clients facing chronic illness or pain, addiction, identity and relationship concerns, career stress, loneliness, existential questions, and major life transitions.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, safety, and genuine connection. You decide the pace and direction—I’m here to support and guide you with evidence-based tools and compassion. Depending on your goals, we may draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative, Existential, or Mindfulness-based therapies to help you reduce distress and live more in line with your values.
