I have spent my career helping people through challenging seasons of life. After working in education since 2002 and serving as a school counselor for many years, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor to continue supporting people in a different setting and with more depth. My experience working with children, teens, adults, and couples has shown me that life's struggles rarely fit neatly into a box, and neither should therapy.
I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. I also enjoy helping people sort through questions about identity, values, and the direction they want their lives to take. Whether someone is facing a recent challenge or carrying something that has been weighing on them for years, I aim to create a space where they can be honest, curious, and fully themselves.
My approach is practical, compassionate, and tailored to each person. I draw from DBT, ACT, attachment-based, solution-focused, somatic, and trauma-informed approaches (EMDR), but I don't believe therapy should feel like following a script. Together, we identify what is getting in the way, build on existing strengths, and develop tools that fit your life and goals.
I have a strong focus on the connection between the brain, nervous system, and emotional well-being. Understanding how stress, trauma, and life experiences affect the body can often bring clarity, self-compassion, and new opportunities for change and self-regulation.
One of the things I value most about this work is witnessing people's capacity to adapt, heal, and grow. Even in difficult circumstances, I believe meaningful change is possible, and I am honored to be part of that process.
