My name is Cody, and I am a Clinical Social Work Candidate. My passion for mental well-being stems from my own personal mental health journey and inspired me to become a therapist. Prior to mental health counseling, I was a social worker for five years and worked with children with disabilities, veterans, and victims of abuse and neglect, connecting them with the resources they needed to thrive.
Having faced my own struggles with mental health I understand that seeking help is often the most difficult step towards better mental health. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where my clients feel heard and empowered to create change. I believe in the transformative power of therapy to foster resilience, self-compassion, and personal growth. Therapy is not a one size fits all therefor I utilize a person-centered approach and tailor my practice to each individual’s needs and emphasize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Mindfulness to help clients address challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Whether you’re navigating a difficult season in your life or seeking to better understand yourself, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
I grew up in Broomfield, Colorado, and after some time in the Inland Northwest, I decided that I missed the sun. In my free time you can find me hiking, skiing, climbing, or throwing the frisbee for my border collie.
