EMDR Therapy for First Responders, Law Enforcement, & Emergency Healthcare Professionals.
I work with first responders, law enforcement officers, and emergency healthcare professionals navigating trauma, chronic stress, burnout, and the demands of high-pressure careers. Over time, that stress can show up as irritability, sleep issues, relationship strain, increased substance use, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others.
My background as a crisis co-responder alongside police officers, combined with my current work in forensic behavioral health, has given me a deep appreciation for the unique culture, expectations, and cumulative stress that comes with professions where others depend on you during moments of crisis. You won't need to explain the realities of your work before we begin.
My approach is practical, collaborative, and focused on meaningful change. I use EMDR alongside other evidence-based therapy approaches to help clients process difficult experiences, reduce overwhelm, and regain a sense of control. My goal is to create a space that feels collaborative, grounded, and free from unnecessary jargon.
You don't need to have the right words to start. Many people in high-stress professions become accustomed to carrying emotional weight quietly and pushing through it alone for a long time before reaching out. This is a confidential practice designed for discretion, understanding, and practical support. When you're ready, I'm here to help.
