After decades of learning, both in books and real life, I often look back and remember, “I did not end up here by accident!” - And if you find yourself here, now, I believe there is a reason for that, too. Whatever that might be, I would be honored to walk alongside you as we figure that out, together.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), my work is grounded in the understanding that our earliest relationships and experiences shape how we view and relate to ourselves, each other, and the world around us. When something traumatic occurs, particularly during our most vulnerable times, the effects can be long-lasting, permeate all areas of our lives, and hold us back in more ways than one. Whether in our most meaningful relationships, career, or our own individual pursuits, sometimes we find ourselves lacking motivation, becoming more irritable, and taking it out on ourselves and those around us. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with you?” I explore, “What happened to you, and how have your experiences shaped the ways you cope, connect, and protect yourself?” This perspective allows therapy to move beyond simple symptom reduction toward lasting emotional healing, self-actualization, and relational fulfillment.
My therapeutic style integrates principles from attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), family systems theory, developmental psychology, interpersonal neurobiology, somatic approaches, and evidence-based trauma treatment. Sessions are tailored to each client’s individual needs and caters to each family’s unique strengths, values, culture, and lived experiences. As a multi-systemic therapist, I recognize that healing is influenced not only by individual experiences but also by family systems, community contexts, cultural identity, historical experiences, and systemic factors that affect well-being. As a culturally-attuned therapist, I strive to provide affirming and inclusive care for individuals and families from diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic, spiritual, and family backgrounds. I approach each client with humility and curiosity, recognizing that every family has its own traditions, strengths, and definitions of healing. My goal is to create a therapeutic space where clients feel emotionally safe, empowered, and respected as their most authentic selves.
Whether you are looking to heal following a life-altering event or a lifetime of altering events, I would be honored to be a part of your journey.
