Hi! My name is Tori Dykstra, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 6 years of experience. As a queer person, I am passionate about offering a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community to access mental health care. With foundations in social work practice, my work centers your autonomy, resilience, and strength. I treat adults and adolescents, and work on a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and attachment wounds.
I see you and our work from a holistic perspective, and believe that there is nothing wrong with you; no part of you is bad. I offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy informed by attachment theory, and pull from components of Internal Family Systems.
For many people, life has brought significant challenges. While challenges can help us grow, when they overwhelm our ability to cope they can leave lasting wounds. Through therapy, we can work to release the impact of these wounds, opening you to live a life more your own. Please reach out if you'd like to see if I may be a good fit for you!
