I am a somatic psychotherapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) who specializes in treating attachment/relational trauma and Complex PTSD. I am licensed in Colorado and Oregon. I have been a body-centered therapist for twenty years, at first as a massage therapist, Yoga instructor, and Zen Shiatsu practitioner, and for the last ten years as a mental health clinician and therapist supporting adults and families with C-PTSD. I have completed trainings, including Somatic Experiencing®, with Peter Levine, Dave Berger, Abi Blakeslee, Dan Siegel, Linda Thai, Stan Tatkin, and Terry Real, including inner child, attachment, trauma healing and couples trainings. My interest in the healing of trauma has grown and developed over the past twenty years. As is often the case for humans and therapists, my own healing journey with supportive guides, has led me here. I am a committed partner and mom (and dog-mom), and I continue to work on my own relational recovery so I can be present in my whole life.
My passion is supporting adults and couples in learning how to recognize their stress responses and co-regulate. I offer invitations to cultivate emotional safety and connection, so that recovery and healing can take root and spread out in your life. I enjoy guiding people in discovering what healthy giving and receiving is (and isn't), how to ask for what they want and need, and codependency and grandiosity recovery. Setting boundaries is a necessary part of being alive, yet healthy boundaries were not modeled for as children. So we will start where you are ready to begin, with what is available to you now and what may be necessary for your relationship to continue. I offer a person-centered, goal-focused, compassionate yet direct approach for couples and individuals seeking to get unstuck in their life and relationships. I offer guidance with managing anxiety, fear, shame, anger, grief, loss, and unresolved relational/attachment trauma. I have a private practice in Boulder, CO, where I support couples and individuals in person, and I also see individual adults online through Zoom in both Colorado and Oregon.
I look forward to meeting you! For more information visit expansivelifetherapy.com
