Life can be filled with joy, laughter, uncertainty, and stress. Together, we can navigate grief, anxiety, sadness, loss, stress, identity changes, sleep problems, or the complexities of aging. I have worked with clients across all ages from childhood to older adults, and a large variety of areas of focus. While I have broad training and experience, my passion is working with older adults, people with multicultural identities, acculturation, grief and loss, and sleep problems.
In our sessions, you can expect a warm, compassionate, and direct approach with a touch of humour. I believe we are shaped by relationships, culture, and societal expectations/biases. Therefore, during sessions, I incorporate discussions and exploration in these areas to support personal growth and understanding. In addition, I draw from Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Based on your goals, I balance exploration and reflection with providing specific strategies and skills. Furthermore, my work is informed by my personal identities as a TCK, multicultural, female.
