I believe that some of the most disorienting experiences a person can face: grief, loss of meaning, the slow erosion of identity that depression and anxiety can bring, are not signs of weakness, but of being fully human. My work is grounded in that conviction.
As a graduate intern completing my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I bring an unusual depth of experience to the counseling room. Over the past four years, I've worked as a clinic manager and TMS technician, sitting with patients navigating treatment-resistant depression and anxiety through neuromodulation and esketamine therapy. Before that, I supported individuals through acute substance withdrawal and worked as a behavioral health technician with children with autism. I've spent years alongside people in their hardest moments and that shapes how I show up as a clinician.
My approach draws on existential and attachment frameworks. I'm especially drawn to questions of meaning-making: how we construct a coherent self in the wake of loss, how grief reorganizes our sense of who we are, and how the bonds we form, or fail to form, leave lasting imprints. My research explores these questions formally, including work on perceived presence experiences in bereavement and the phenomenology of grief.
In sessions, I aim to be genuinely curious rather than directive. I don't believe people need to be fixed. I believe they need space to understand themselves more fully, and a relationship in which that feels safe.
